Have ever been having a nice conversation with a customer and not known how to asking for a dance? ….so you just let him ramble on about his nagging wife and kids, and out if the blue you just say “Wanna Dance” when a new song starts playing….even though it had absolutely nothing to do with the conversation? I did that a lot when I first started dancing. And I got used to that awkward silence…and then him saying, “no not now.”
The key to making any sales program work is to sound polished when you lead your conversation into your closing lines. If you don’t take the time to build the foundation conversation, and just skip to the closing lines you will come off sounding fake and waay too salesy. If you don’t know how to build the conversation towards the closing line, it’s no wonder the closing line didn’t work! You have probably had this happen before, but not know how or why it happened. You will after this lesson!
The way you speak to customers is different than normal speech. Simply by changing your sentence structure, you can get your customers to say YES more often. In this lesson, I am going to teach you how to build your conversations, and how to link the conversation to the the closing lines so it flows more naturally. Once you do this, you will hear yes more often.
Remember, the intended result of the conversation is a sale, so if you let him steer the topic of the conversation AWAY from lapdances and/or Champagne then it is going to take even LONGER to close the sale because you have to redirect the communication back to lapdances. Therefore, it’s up to YOU to be in control of the conversation. Use probing questions to find out exactly what he wants, and then sell it to him! If he says “No, I’m not ready yet,” don’t just run off, ask another open ended question, let him talk, and try again at the start of the next song.
